The SACC Navigational Rally Championship 2011

 

As soon as the championship has gained approval from the MSA, the regulations for the SACCNavigational Rally Championship 2011 will be published. In the meantime, the first two rounds will be as follows:-

 

Boontree Birl – 29th January 2011

 

Regulations for the first round of the championship, the Boontree Birl, organised by 750 Motor Club (Scotland) are attached. The event will start at AM Phillip, Trucktech, Muiryfaulds, Forfar and will finish at Aberlemno Village Hall. The event will be approximately 90 miles with first car away at 19:31hrs. Entry fee is £30.00, with Lockton insurance extra if required.

Nuit Blanche  – 26th February 2011

 

One of the longest-running navigational rallies in Scotland, the 2011 edition of EUMSC's classic NuitBlanche is set for Saturday 26th February, and with a change of scenery too - running on Map 65 for the first time in years, the playing field will be level but the action no less frenetic! The cars will set off into the night for the the second round of the 2011 Scottish Association of Car Clubs Navigational Rally Championship, starting at 6pm from Xtreme Karting, Falkirk.

 

The route will feature 98 miles of the most beautiful and challenging roads Scotland's Central Belt has to offer, as well as mid-way break for making up lateness, making it the ideal event for everyone from novices having their first crack at rallying to experts testing their mettle to the max.

 

Entry with standard insurance is £45.

February 2011 Newsletter

 

Round 2 - Nuit Blanche Rally – 26th February 2011

 

Entries are still available for the Nuit Blanche Rally this Saturday evening. There are already 17 cars entered for the event which will make it one of the biggest entries on a navigational rally in recent times.

 

The route will feature 98 miles of the most beautiful and challenging roads Scotland's Central Belt has to offer, as well as mid-way break for making up lateness, making it the ideal event for everyone from novices having their first crack at rallying to experts testing their mettle to the max.

 

Entry is £27.91 and Lockton Insurance is £17.09.

Round 3 - Gropers Rally – 5th March 2011

 

The Nuit Blanche Rally will be followed one week later by the Gropers Rally, organised by Stonehaven and District Motor Club. The event will start and finish at Coneyhatch Farm (OS:45 / 872895) and will be 96 miles long with first car starting at 19:31hrs.

 

Entry is £30.00 and Lockton Insurance is £17.95

SCOTTISH ASSOCIATION OF CAR CLUBS

NAVIGATIONAL RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP

 

September 2011

 

 

Hi Everyone,

 

Now that the summer break is over, here are more details of the next few events.

 

Round 4 - Highland Car Club’s Autumn Rally, 17th September, 2011

 

Highland Car Club will be running the fourth round of the championship, the Autumn Rally, on Saturday, 17th September, 2011.

 

The event will start from the Clansman Hotel on the banks of Loch Ness with a total mileage of 98 miles on public and private roads. OS map 26 is required and the entry fee is £25 for the National B event. Entries close at 17:00 on Monday, 12th September.

Round 5 - Stonehaven & District Motor Club’s Hairst Rally, 29th October, 2011

 

Gery Potter will be organising the SDMC Hairst Rally on Saturday , 29th October, 2011. Start at Methlick.

Round 6 - Border Ecosse Car Club’s Early Winter Rally, 12th November, 2011 (Date Change)

 

Richard Crozier has been busy discussing the date clash with his “temporary flatmate” Ewan Leeming and BECC have now moved the Early Winter Rally to Saturday 12th November, thus avoiding the clash. Many thanks to those involved.

Round 5 - Stonehaven & District Motor Club’s Hairst Rally, 29th October, 2011

Navigator wanted

Round 6 - Border Ecosse Car Club’s Early Winter Rally, 12th November, 2011
 
Border Ecosse Car Club will be running the sixth round of the championship, the Early Winter Rally, on Saturday, 12th November, 2011.
 
The event will start from starting in Coldstream and finish in Leitholm with a route of approx. 80 miles. OS map 74 C1 is required and the entry fee is £25 for the National B event which includes two suppers at the finish venue. Entries close on 9th November.
